College Academic Committee
The committee comprises the Principal, Heads of Department, and senior faculty. It translates the policy decisions of the management into implementable activities and follows up on their execution.
Functions and Responsibilities
- To review academic activities, student initiatives, faculty development programs, and other related activities of the college.
- To visualize and formulate perspective plans and a Master Plan for the development and growth of the college.
- To formulate and plan for resource mobilization through industry interaction, consultancy, and extramural funding.
- To promote research and extension activities, teaching innovations, and student placement programs on the college campus.
- To plan for sustaining the quality of education, continuous quality improvement, and accreditation of the college.
- To recommend schemes to promote participation of academic departments in community development activities in the region.
- To consider other activities that further academic excellence.
Programme Assessment Committee
The committee comprises the Principal, Head of the Department, senior faculty, academicians, and industry professionals.
Functions and Responsibilities
- Monitoring the activities of the department to ensure alignment with the Vision and Mission.
- Suggesting ways and means to reduce curriculum gaps in achieving POs and PSOs.
- Evaluating program effectiveness and proposing necessary changes.
- Measuring the extent of adherence to planned activities and the academic calendar.
- Motivating faculty and students to attend workshops, develop projects and working models, publish papers, and engage in research activities.
Cultural Committee
The Cultural Committee is one of the crucial committees responsible for adding the “jazz factor” to students’ college life. It consists of motivated individuals who believe that a college should
balance academic rigor with fun and creative expression. The committee provides a vibrant platform
for students to showcase their talents as musicians, dancers, actors, painters, writers,
photographers, and dreamers.
Functions and Responsibilities
- To be responsible for all intra-collegiate and inter-collegiate cultural events in the college.
- To plan and schedule cultural events for the academic year, with tentative dates included in the academic calendar.
- To prepare the budget for all cultural events and take necessary steps for approval.
- The Coordinator of the committee shall conduct meetings to discuss plans and delegate tasks.
Procedure to Organize Cultural Events
- To prepare the annual budget for various cultural events.
- To obtain formal permission from the college authorities to organize programs.
- To decide the date, time, and agenda of the program.
- To inform faculty members and students about the event.
- To arrange the venue and logistics such as audio/video systems, dais, and podium.
- To invite the Chief Guest and other dignitaries.
Examination Committee
The Examination Committee is responsible for conducting examinations in accordance with
the rules and regulations of the University. It also finalizes internal marks and attendance
records and forwards the same to the University, including condonation and detention lists.
Responsibilities
- To prepare the Internal and External Examination timetables and display them on the notice board well in advance.
- To prepare invigilation duties in advance and inform the assigned invigilators.
- To collect internal examination question papers along with the required number of photocopies in sealed covers and supply them to the examination hall five minutes before the commencement of the exam.
- To make necessary arrangements for end examinations as per Osmania University (OU) norms.
- To collect answer scripts after the completion of end examinations, pack them as per OU norms, and submit them accordingly.
- To collect answer scripts after internal examinations, segregate them subject-wise, and hand them over to the concerned faculty. The corrected answer scripts along with marks are to be collected within the stipulated time frame.
- To collect the final list of students from the office and allot roll numbers as per OU norms.
- To collect examination, late, and condonation fees from students as per the dates prescribed by OU.
- To prepare and submit attendance lists categorized as above 75%, between 65%–75%, and below 65% at the end of the semester or academic year, along with Hall Ticket numbers and fees, within the stipulated time.
Library Committee
ICBM-SBE has established a spacious Central Library with the vision of serving the
information needs of its users and promoting a continuous learning atmosphere. The library
is regularly updated with textbooks, reference books, e-books, journals, magazines,
e-journals, subject PPTs, subject animations, project reports, tutorials, and video lessons
related to engineering and allied subjects. The Central Library provides abundant information
and intellectual resources to students and faculty through a user-friendly approach and
offers a peaceful, fully integrated environment for academic study.
Functions
- To serve as an interpreter of library requirements to the committee and authorities and recommend the funds needed.
- To provide support to the librarian in making important decisions that impact library users.
Responsibilities of the Committee Members
- To provide the list of existing books in the Central Library and Information Centre to the respective departments.
- To monitor the proper utilization of library resources.
- To guide all library acquisitions.
- To monitor the allocation of funds for procuring books, journals, and e-learning resources.
- To discuss and present views on library-related matters as required by the college management.
Faculty Members
- To prepare and provide the list of recommended books as per the syllabus.
- To monitor the allocation of funds for procuring books, journals, and e-learning resources.
- To monitor library facilities and suggest measures to make library services more user-friendly and easily accessible.
- To ensure procurement criteria and library rules, including cataloguing and access administration, are followed.
Librarian
- To organize and disseminate resources to meet the varied needs of users.
- To receive recommended book lists from departments and verify the availability of copies.
- To consolidate recommendations and prepare purchase orders for books, journals, and other required materials.
- To monitor the cataloguing, classification, automation, and utilization of purchased resources.
Student Member
- To provide feedback on the availability of books, journals, and other resources as per prevailing regulations.
- To inform fellow students about the functioning of the library.
- To suggest books for procurement as per the syllabus and beyond to enhance knowledge.
Industry Institute Interaction Cell
Objectives
- To explore and identify common avenues of interaction with industry.
- To establish Centres of Excellence in collaboration with industry/corporate partners to provide real-time exposure to technologies.
- To promote various research activities among faculty members and students.
- To establish convergence with industrial and research organizations across diverse fields through Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs).
Functions and Responsibilities
- To organize workshops on trending technologies conducted by experts from the industry.
- To assist departments in organizing workshops, conferences, and symposia with joint participation from industries.
- To encourage industry professionals to visit the institution and deliver expert lectures.
- To organize industrial visits for faculty members and students.
- To coordinate and identify industrial partners for establishing Centres of Excellence.
- To assist the Training and Placement Division.
- To facilitate visits of industry executives and practicing engineers to the institute to review research work and laboratories.
- To establish Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) between the institute and industries to strengthen academic and strategic collaboration.
- To arrange faculty visits to industries for study, discussions, or delivering lectures on subjects of mutual interest.

Entrepreneurship Development Cell
The Entrepreneurship Development Cell is established to develop entrepreneurial awareness
among students, enhance creativity and innovative thinking, and empower them to take
initiatives and responsibilities in a challenging world. The cell aims to encourage students
to become employment creators rather than job seekers.
Functions and Responsibilities
- To organize entrepreneurship awareness camps, entrepreneurship development programmes, and skill development programmes.
- To organize Business Plan Competitions.
- To arrange student-to-entrepreneur “face-to-face” interaction programmes.
- To initiate innovative student projects focused on product and solution development.
- To guide and assist potential entrepreneurs in setting up, growing, and managing new ventures.
- To arrange guest lectures by successful entrepreneurs and provide a platform for interaction between professional entrepreneurs and student entrepreneurs.
- To mentor students with business ideas by placing them under the supervision of experienced entrepreneurs through structured mentorship schemes.
- To organize faculty development programmes to sensitize faculty members about the importance of entrepreneurship in real life, corporate environments, and national economic development.
Alumni Association Committee
ICBM-SBE Alumni Association creates and maintains a lifelong connection between the Institute
and its alumni. The Association works to connect alumni, support students, and build an
unforgettable Institute experience through a diversity of events, programs, and services.
Its mission is to foster strong bonds between alumni, students, and the Institute, keep
alumni informed, and create a network that enables them to remain engaged with their alma
mater and help shape its future through the Association’s programs and services. Joining
the ICBM-SBE Alumni Association is one of the easiest ways to reconnect, give back to the
Institute, and serve as a springboard for further involvement.
Functions and Responsibilities
- To expand and update the alumni database.
- To provide alumni with information about programs and events conducted by the college.
- To promote a sense of fellowship among alumni.
- To bring together alumni of the college by arranging regular meetings.
- To set up a guidance cell to support present and former students.
- To ensure maximum participation and involvement of alumni in the growth of the college.

Anti-Ragging Committee
The Anti-Ragging Committee actively works to prevent the menace of ragging in the institution
in accordance with the directions and guidelines framed by the All India Council for Technical
Education (AICTE), New Delhi.
Responsibilities
- To monitor anti-ragging activities within the institution, review the recommendations of the Anti-Ragging Squad, and take appropriate decisions as per AICTE regulations.
- To counsel senior students on the consequences of involvement in ragging cases.
- To interact with freshers, first-year students, and junior students to identify and address grievances.
- To ensure that the Anti-Ragging Squad remains vigilant, mobile, alert, and active at all times, with authority to inspect potential ragging areas and conduct surprise checks in canteens and other hotspots.
- To investigate reported incidents of ragging and submit recommendations to the Anti-Ragging Committee under its overall guidance.
- To ensure that senior students do not enter fresher-designated floors.
- To maintain close vigilance over senior students.
- To require Anti-Ragging Squad members to submit reports in the prescribed format through the Squad Head to the Anti-Ragging Committee.
- To identify responsible senior students in each block or floor (without disclosing their identities) to confidentially inform the Anti-Ragging Squad of any ragging incidents for immediate action.
Grievance Redressal Committee
The objective of the Grievance Redressal Committee is to provide an easily accessible mechanism
for the settlement of grievances and to adopt measures that ensure the expeditious resolution
of issues raised by students and staff (teaching and non-teaching). The committee aims to
enhance job satisfaction, productivity, and organizational efficiency by addressing concerns
related to assessment, attendance, harassment, victimization, and employment-related matters,
including disciplinary actions and allegations.
Objectives
- To introduce a fair, impartial, and consistent mechanism for the redressal of issues faced by students and parents.
- To create awareness about the availability of committee members for students and faculty to report grievances.
- To develop a responsive and accountable attitude among all stakeholders, thereby maintaining a harmonious campus atmosphere.
- To advise stakeholders to respect the rights and dignity of one another and to refrain from vindictive behavior.
- To ensure that grievances are resolved promptly, neutrally, and with complete confidentiality.
- To uphold the dignity of the institution by promoting cordial student–teacher relationships.
Functions
- To receive written complaints from students and address grievances promptly upon receipt.
- To handle all grievances related to common academic and administrative issues at the institute level.
- To entertain and review appeals filed by students against decisions of the Head of the Department or Chairman.
- To review all grievance cases and take appropriate action based on findings.
- To submit reports to the concerned authorities detailing cases handled and pending cases, if any, requiring further guidance.
College Disciplinary Committee
Responsibilities
- To maintain and enforce strict discipline within the college campus.
- To ensure that all students wear their ID cards while on campus and in their respective classrooms.
- In case of violation of the dress code or classroom disturbances, to confiscate the student’s ID card and return it on the same day with a warning and counseling from the Disciplinary Committee members.
- In cases of misbehavior or violation of college rules, to retain the student’s ID card with the Disciplinary Committee until the enquiry process is completed.
- To monitor student movement within the campus and prevent loitering in corridors during college working hours.
- To ensure complete silence and discipline in the library.
- To recover the cost of any damage caused to college property by an individual student or group of students, along with imposing a fine and initiating appropriate disciplinary action.
Finance Committee
The Finance Committee is a standing committee of the Board that works closely with the
Principal and financial staff to monitor and manage the finances of the institution.
The committee is responsible for protecting and renewing the institution’s resources
and assisting the Board in fulfilling its fiduciary responsibilities. Its primary role
is to ensure that the institution’s mission and objectives are achieved by securing,
allocating, and safeguarding human, physical, technological, and financial resources
in an appropriate and sustainable manner.
Functions and Responsibilities
- To assist the Board in fulfilling its fiduciary responsibilities.
- To protect the organization from legal challenges and financial liabilities.
- To guard the institution against illegal, unethical, or incompetent financial practices.
- To protect the organization from actual or perceived conflicts of interest.
- To act as an advisory panel for financial operations.
- To evaluate financial operations and the personnel responsible for managing them.
- To identify and address illegal, unethical, or incompetent financial dealings that may harm the organization or its stakeholders.
- To participate in the annual audit process.
- To ensure that financial operations align with the institution’s vision, mission, and strategic plan.
- To report to the Board and/or Executive Committee on the financial condition of the institution, including any irregularities or inefficiencies.
- To examine and scrutinize the annual budget prepared by the Principal and submit recommendations to the Governing Body.
Social Welfare Committee
The Social Welfare Committee aims to uplift underprivileged communities and reach the unreached
by facilitating access to higher education for the long-term benefit of deprived sections of
society. The committee works in alignment with various schemes and initiatives provided by both
the Central and State Governments to eradicate social and educational backwardness.
Functions of the Committee
- To maintain a database of students belonging to SC, ST, and BC communities.
- To create awareness among students about various schemes, assistance programs, and scholarships available to them.
- To continuously monitor the effective implementation of social welfare policies and schemes intended for the welfare of SC/ST/BC communities by the Government of Telangana.
Responsibilities of the Committee
Coordinator Responsibilities
- To request faculty members of all departments to submit the list of SC/ST/BC students.
- To monitor scholarships and endowment benefits provided to SC/ST/BC students as per State Government rules.
- To monitor reservation policies and welfare schemes intended for SC/ST/BC welfare implemented by the Government of Telangana.
Members’ Responsibilities
- To obtain the list of SC/ST/BC students from the scholarship section of the college.
- To enquire about the benefits received by SC/ST/BC students and document complaints, if any.
- To monitor scholarships and endowment benefits provided to SC/ST/BC students as per State Government rules.
- To ensure faculty members explain government reservation policies, financial assistance, and academic facilities available to students.
Student Members
- To assist faculty members in enquiring about benefits and supporting other committee-related responsibilities.
Transportation Committee
The Transportation Committee is constituted to ensure safe, reliable, and convenient
travel facilities for students and faculty. The transportation service operates on all
working days at fixed timings from various predefined locations.
Functions of the Committee
- To supervise daily bus operations and issue instructions to bus in-charges.
- To inspect the condition of buses, report required actions, and periodically verify vehicle documents.
- To issue bus passes to students availing the college transportation facility.
- To maintain attendance registers for drivers and cleaners.
- To monitor discipline among students inside buses, control overcrowding, and arrange alternatives when necessary.
Roles and Responsibilities of Committee Members
- The Coordinator and Transport In-charge shall regulate and supervise drivers operating the buses.
- Transport In-charges shall inspect and verify bus passes.
- Student members shall monitor discipline in buses and report observations to the committee on a regular basis.
- To provide transportation services to students, faculty, and departments after proper assessment of requisitions and ensure optimum utilization of transport facilities.
- To ensure maintenance and repair of vehicles are carried out under the supervision of faculty members and the Transport In-charge.
Maintenance Committee
Functions
- To ensure regular maintenance of the institute’s buildings and equipment.
- To coordinate with personnel responsible for maintenance, monitor the quality of work, and ensure adherence to prescribed timelines.
- To oversee daily maintenance activities within the institute.
- To monitor annual maintenance of the institute and its related infrastructure.
- To plan, monitor, and execute major and minor repairs of laboratory equipment and office accessories.
Mentoring Committee
The Mentoring Committee is constituted to design and implement Institute-level and
Department-level mentoring processes that support students in their academic, career,
and personal development.
Functions of the Committee
The mentor provides comprehensive support to the mentee, including career-related guidance,
emotional and psychosocial support, along with continuous motivation.

Women Protection Cell
The objective of the Women Protection Cell is to enhance awareness of issues related to women
and to ensure a safe and inclusive campus for all girl students and women employees. The cell
provides a platform for women to share experiences, express views, and suggest measures for
self-empowerment. Aimed at the intellectual and social upliftment of female students, the cell
promotes women empowerment through seminars, role plays, street plays, games, awareness
programs, and various welfare activities.
